NOTIFICATION OF FUPRE S.U.G ELECTION RESULTS (READ MORE)

Having conducted a credible and transparent elections for the incoming executives in the Students' Union Government (S.U.G.) for 2015/2016 session, I wish to notify you on the outcome.

The election held at The Lecture Theatre 1 on Wednesday 14^th August, 2015. It was really keenly contested. Some Security agents (dressed in uniform and in mufti respectively); including the University’s Chief Security Officer (C.S.O) were present. Again, some representatives from the Dean’s office were much around on observers’ status. The total number of voters was 702.

Actually, it all began with the accreditation of voters before and after entry into the election venue.

Subsequently, voting started at exactly 12:28pm and closed at about 6:10pm. Sorting and Counting of votes took place immediately in the presence of the agents of the candidates, the entire voters, ISEC officials and NANS officials. At the end, the results were announced at about some minutes before 9pm.

The breakdown of the election results is as follows:

The Total number of voters= 702

The Total Expected Number of votes(702×11positions) = 7722

Void votes meant votes not cast in the appropriate ballot boxes or improperly thumb-printed.

ii.) Ufuoma Thompson Victor scored 354

iii.) Void Votes= 17

2. VICE PRESIDENT:

i.) Onni, Joseph Yusuf scored 359 votes

ii.) Alexander Kinsley scored 331 votes

iii.) Void Votes= 11

3. SECRETARY GENERAL:

i.) Kegbe, Kesina Appeal scored 622 votes.

ii.) Void votes= 90

4. ASSISTANT SECRETARY:

i.) Asanimo Racheal scored 669 valid votes

ii.) Void= 41

5. FINANCIAL SECRETARY:

i.) Ofohaorji Noble N. scored 656 votes.

ii.) Void= 46

6. TREASURER:

i.) Gbemisola Okeowo scored 621 valid votes.

ii.) Void = 74

7. DIRECTOR OF SOCIALS:

i.) Nathaniel Chris Eseozobor scored 487 valid votes.

ii.) Ikolo Akpesiri Philips scored 182 valid votes.

iii.) Void votes= 56

8. ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF SOCIALS:

i.) Ekwomadu Onyebuchi scored 437

ii.) Void = 156

9. DIRECTOR OF SPORTS:

i.) Amaeruchi Stephen scored 632 valid votes

10. ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF SPORTS:

From the foregoing, having satisfactorily obtained the highest number of votes, the following candidates are hereby declared the winners and in turn elected in the Executive arm of the Students' Union Government 2015/2016 session:
