Raheem Sterling won't stay for £900k a week Liverpool contract - agent

Raheem Sterling will not be signing a new contract with Liverpool even if he is offered £900,000 ($1.4 million) a week, the player's agent has told the London Evening Standard.

Sterling's future at Anfield has been uncertain as talks over a new contract, the current terms of which expire in 2017, have reached an impasse.
The England international, 20, was expected to tell Liverpool that he wants a transfer when he and his agent Aidy Ward meet manager Brendan Rodgers and chief executive Ian Ayre on Friday, but that meeting was cancelled on Thursday.
On Thursday, Ward said: "I don't care about the PR of the club and the club situation. I don't care.

"He is definitely not signing. He's not signing for £700, £800, £900 thousand a week. He is not signing.
"My job is to make sure I do the best with them [my clients]. If people say I am bad at my job, or they are badly advised it does not matter.
"I am not worried. Worried is making a decision not knowing what is going to happen. Every premier league club will make a bid for him."
Ward also hit out at former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher, who said Sterling needs to change his agent and stay at Anfield.
"Carragher is a knob," Ward said. "Everybody knows it. Any of the criticism from current pundits or ex-Liverpool players -- none of them things matter to me. It is not relevant."

Liverpool's Premier League rivals Manchester United had registered an interest in Sterling, but the Reds have rejected the enquiry.
Sterling has made 35 Premier League appearances this season, scoring seven goals and managing as many assists.
